Harold Linde
Harold has been writing, producing, and directing educational media on
critical environmental and social issues for the last 15 years. He has
created and led projects for United Nations, Doctors Without Borders, the Peace Corps, Greenpeace, Forest Ethics, and Rainforest Action Network.
Previous projects include: the award winning computer animated kids
rainforest DVD Forest Family Forever!, the hyper-reality childrens PBS
science series DragonflyTV, Morgan Supersize Me Spurlocks enlightened
reality series 30 Days, and the Public Service Announcements series for the
Tree-Free Paper Campaign with musicians R.E.M., and Sundance Channels Green series Big Ideas for a Small Planet.
Harold lived in Central and East African and South Asia for extended
periods including Rwanda for 2 1/2 years where he created a troupe of
traveling performers to spread human rights messages across the rural,
post-genocidal landscape. He was a non-violent action climber and trainer
involved in such operations as anti-WTO Battle of Seattle.
Harold is currently developing a short-format, web-based action/adventure
series about a band of daring rebel activists based on his experience as a
climber and trainer for Rainforest Action Network, the Ruckus Society, and
Greenpeace.
