Conners worked for 40 years in business management, in companies such as Dow Chemical, Morton Salt, Allied Chemical and Unocal. He is currently Assessor for the Town of Chatham in New York State. He received his MBA from Harvard in 1954 and his degree in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin in 1950. He served in the US Navy in World War II.
