Brave the fascinating world of bees with Dominic Monaghan

The Clumsy Beekeeper is a television series that follows Dominic Monaghan on his quest to learn how to keep bees and, hopefully!, harvest their honey at the end of a season. Dominic will be mentored by several beekeepers who will help him through the adventure that will take him beyond his house in Los Feliz - where he will be installing his new bee-hives - to far-away lands like Egypt, Indonesia and Japan.

The show will have sub-plots: one will follow the life of a bee, her queen and the hive; and the other will tell the story of the bee throughout time, the myths, legends, esoteric beliefs that have grown out of our long history coexisting with bees. The healing power of bee honey and propolis will also be explored.

The goal of the series is to reveal how special and valuable the bee is, and why we all need to be concerned about them and their well-being. The playful tone of the show will allow us to explore a mystery of nature, and how, if we are not made aware of it, it may disappear.
