In The Red List TV-series, Dominic Monaghan, star of the hit TV series Lost, Fast Forward and the Lord of the Rings trilogy, uncovers rare and endangered wildlife around the world and shows why they are being lost at alarming rates. The series will cover well-known species like tigers, rhinos, and polar bears, that are on the brink of extinction, as well as smaller, yet ecosystem-critical creatures like bees and bats. Through intimate encounters with both micro- and mega-fauna, new science and modern conservation strategies, Dominic will take us on a world tour that will also show us the wonder of our unique home, planet earth.


Manchester United  will run with The Red List

Dominic grew up in Manchester, UK, and is a lifelong supporter of the English and European Champions, Manchester United, the world's biggest

football club, with over 330 million fans.  With the help of some of United's biggest stars, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney, Dominic will highlight the plight of endangered animals around the globe. Each of the players will represent an animal in crisis, like the orangutan or the Indian tiger. At the end of the series, a trophy book will be presented to the club. Through The Red List interactive website, readers will find out more about the players and the animals they represent. Some of the funds raised will go to the respective charities such as the Orangutan Survival Foundation.
